Since its inception in 1969, Holland College has been committed to providing the best quality programs and services to its clients. Since opening its doors in September of that year, it has grown from 102 students to approximately 2500, including 250 international students, spread across its five campuses. Each year, Holland College welcomes students from a broad range of ages and education backgrounds to college centres across Prince Edward Island. Student success is a top priority, and students achieve the success they want and deserve through the College's high quality programs, instructional staff and facilities, and the motivation this learning environment provides. Holland College is committed to ensuring that students have the skills and expertise they require for successful employment in today's marketplace. The College's diploma and certificate programs have achieved international recognition for their combination of theory, competency based and hands-on training and reputation for innovative, quality programming that continues to grow. Holland College programs consist of practical, industry driven curriculum that prepares students to enter their chosen field with confidence. The Prince of Wales campus is the college's main campus. It is home to the Charlottetown Centre, the Centre for Community Engagement, the School of Performing Arts, the Centre for Applied Science and Technology (CAST), and two apartment-style residences. The Tourism and Culinary Centre, home of the Culinary Institute of Canada, is located nearby to the Prince of Wales campus on the Charlottetown waterfront.
Holland College applicants and students are eligible to apply for scholarships, bursaries and awards. Through the generosity of donors, hundreds of students benefit annually from awards that collectively exceed $500,000.
To apply for an entrance award, you will need to have an active Holland College application. Enrolled awards are for students currently studying at Holland College. Many awards only require the general application for consideration, but some will ask you for additional information such as a transcript, biography, or a description of you extracurricular involvement. All required documents need to be submitted as PDFs.
